Our Digestive Tract Motility Scanner

Our Digestive Tract Motility Scanner

A beautiful addition to a prayer

I have been speaking aloud physically and spiritually since approximately 2005-2006 Dr Thomas Abell would do an EGG

1)EGG

An electrogastrogram (EGG) is a graphic produced by an electrogastrograph, which records the electrical signals that travel through the stomach muscles and control the muscles’ contractions

2)Gastric Emptying Scan- GES

Gastric emptying scans are often used to diagnose gastroparesis, a condition in which the stomach’s muscles don’t work properly. This delays food from being sent to the small intestine. Your doctor may order the scans if you frequently vomit, feel bloated after eating, or complain of abdominal pain.

with the Gastric emptying tests.

We have advanced past depending on solely gastric emptying scans. They are not always consistently reliable.

Just like humans, our broken guts can vary from day to day.

A note: it is important for the tests to be done the same way by all gastroenterologist/motility specialists. Unless you experience digestive tract issues personally or through a family, friend etc You would not know there are different ways to do the tests. All of us take biology in high school. We all know how important it is to have a control group when trying to determine whether a true solution is effective or not. This is why every GI must conduct gastric emptying tests as close as possible to one another as possible. If one does the tests standing with a particular set of chosen items then all of the others should do likewise. Every hospital, clinic, out-patient setting should endeavor to do their best as patient can tolerate. It is understandable with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea,…it may be difficult for all patients to complete a gastric emptying scan. Therein a set of protocols for varying scenarios are agreed upon by all gastroenterologists/motility specialists.

After my gastric neurostimulator failed I continued to speak about the future possibilities for a way to scan our abdomen along with software on computers allowing feedback for additional information on motility digestive tract issues. We would be able to have a “head’s up” before an actual obstruction occurs. As one of the motility digestive tract persons with numerous obstructions I have learned to navigate my way through the digestive tract issues and their warnings. Yet, it can be very complex -difficult, not to mention its life & death consequences. My last obstruction was in my small intestine with too many adhesions to be removed under anesthesia. I lost a section of my small intestine this time instead of the large intestine. The explanation I was given during my hospitalization in 2015 my multiple diagnoses had progressed.

1999 diagnoses were gastroparesis, colonic inertia, chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction syndrome

2006 Sjogrens

2010 Dysautonomia

Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome POTS

Mitochondrial Malabsorption Mitochondrial Disease

My large intestine was removed, except for approximately 7 inches with a direct resection in 2001A later obstruction was difficult to see. The doctors decided to go in with exploratory surgery, thank goodness. An internal hernia, adhesions and a bad obstruction about to rupture in 2003.

My flat stomach, small amounts of diarrhea and scans not showing enough, at the time, created a bad scenario. Never knowing how much of what has either been not digested/absorbed or backed-up in bile can create a very toxic digestive tract mess. Therefore, the absolute need, necessity for a small intestinal scanner gathering data – points of data isn’t an unreasonable expectation.

We can ultrasound for pregnancy, breast cancer diagnosis, and all kinds of other types of issues. It is not unreasonable to intellectually intelligently rationally logically connect our points of data into a successful outcome. When the announcement of our mesentery was made it wasn’t exciting just because we were given a new insight into our digestive tract, but because our digestive tract was being highlighted.

When you highlight anything, any piece of information you are trying to learn, understand, remember, absorb, and yes digest!!! Anything we highlight sharpens our focus, right?

A reminder of the definition of the mesentery-

The mesentery is an organ that attaches the intestines to the posterior abdominal wall in humans and is formed by the double fold of peritoneum. It helps in storing fat and allowing blood vessels, lymphatics, and nerves to supply the intestines, among other functions.

So, yes!!! Please let this finally be our our time for digestive tract scanner! #GutShot #BrokenGuts #DigestiveScanner
