SPOONIE DANCE

THE SPOONIE DANCE
NOT THE TANGO
NOR THE FLAMINGO
NOPE NOT THE SPOLIRIFOROUS SWING
NO-SIREE- NOT THE TEXAS TWO-STEPPING SLIDE
NEITHER OF THESE ARE WE MAMBOING
We are doing the “Spoonie” it is made of a twirl. We must manage it carefully, A virtual spin is best. Thus done to not vomit or hurl. Nausea will not chase us, while we begin our dance. When preparing a dance floor, it is always prepped in anticipation. Never stressed, but always blessed. It is with this mind-set we turn on our musical soundtrack. It always inspires us to be joyfully at peace. Without any guilt, we feel blessed at any accomplishments. Every lil moment of progression in the human experience inspires us all! WE #HappyDance at the #SuccessOfOthers WE #HappyDance at the #Joy from the progress of others #treatments #Breakthroughs #Healing #Cures no matter the #Chronic. Every bit of it lights, feeds, supports, our #SpoonieDance!!! At the same time, we never feel an uneccasary regret for the dances, we must sit out. Every dance is a one we either participate in or we sit in in another format. It is this wisdom of the Spoonie-Dance & its Grace, Blessings, Peace, Victory, Joy & more are all ours when we truly understand.
When chronic, invisible, incurable,
We await the next #SPOONIEDANCE
No expectations, nor definable attributes, nor even the knowing of how we are going to get to the floor. Accepting Grace, knowing we are not in control
yet also knowing that #Chronic does not have the ability to take our Grace of being our true selves away …
is truly an amzing gift. The highest high, the lowest low, does not have the power to alter my DNA nor does it have the power to alter my personality, my genetic me who I am. Yes, I have changed and I am different due to my chronic journey. Yes, I am stronger in the diagnoses which by their definition say I am physically weaker. Yet, I would challenge anyone to try to say that after sitting through one #SPOONIEDANCE
and while I would never ever wish to be in the position of bragging or boasting… I would be remiss not to point out a simple truth in fact. Which might in its truth & fact help another step across a door and over a bridge. Yes, I did state it correctly. Our verbage is usually part of our uniqueness. May each of you be blessed.
Are you of an age where you recall the song “I Hope You Dance” Lee Ann Womack? … it has been more than “a minute” Holy Cow … wikipedia says it was released in 2000 my oh my…
part of the lyrics…”I hope you never lose your sense of woner/ You get your fill to eat/ But always keep that hunger/May you never take one single breath for granted..
those lyrics for a spoonie community are quite ironic. Considering we are always (on the severe end) unable to get our fill to eat. We will never take any of this for granted. Amen
