How Do I Know Love?

How do I know Love?

I know love by its ways.

When I can’t lift my head for days?

You ask, “Hon, is there anything else I can do or you need?”

How do I know Love?

When forced to wear a new embarrassing accessory?

You say, “Got your sexy look going today, huh?”

How do I know Love?

When we have extended ourselves, but something pops in my mind.  I ask. And you do your best as always.

How do I know Love?

It isn’t neat, nor perfect, (and there are still all those lil issues needing resolve).

But I go to the

1 Corinthians 13:4-13New International Version (NIV)

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
How do I know Love? First my parents taught and raised me in love. Then I met and developed a relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Then my Dad passed away and God proved to me I was not alone and I was loved. I would always be loved. I have a red King James Bible with the book of Psalms underlined & initialed with this period of revelation.

How do I know love? I met the kindest most loving green eyed guy when I was very young! He has a few issues (like he wants to be a junk dealer or some such..  Appalling to me! I think he might need hoarding anonymous.. But he finds the most amazing things! He needs his own store ..   But he hates to part with his treasures! Like I said might need hoarding Anonymous) He is so intelligent, family comes first, and our children  have  always been the most important thing. We fell in love fast. Were told it wouldn’t last and here we are!

How do I know love? Through the prettiest pair of of green gold flecked eyes I’ve ever seen! Being put first and never once letting me doubt he was here no matter how hard or bumpy this ride got!

This is how I know love! I pray if you are diagnosed with an incurable not well known disease you know love of God, of self, of, family, and the love described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-13 #CureGP is the goal! But knowing love is the journey.
